So, back in my days as a trader, I had this trip to the UK. Honestly, compared to my experiences in places like Latin America or Africa, it didn’t leave much of an impression on me.
If I had to pick something, I guess it would be the food. One evening, a client invited me to dinner and treated me to a feast. After the main course, when dessert came, it was so sweet, I couldn’t believe it. I mean, was it just sugar?! I felt a bit rude, but on the way home, I got a headache.
I can’t say if it was just this client’s household or what, but let’s just say my taste buds were in for a surprise, and I’ll leave it at that.
Apart from the food, though, I did enjoy the British people and the countryside. Walking through those historic streets is something I’d recommend.
